Veterinarian/Owner
Jillian Shencopp, DVM
Dr. Jillian Shencopp began working for Greenfield Animal Hospital as a kennel attendant in 2004. She then worked as a receptionist, where she was able to get to know our clients and pets. After graduating from Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016, she returned to Greenfield as a licensed veterinarian. She enjoys spending time with her husband, two dogs, Loki and Primrose, as well as her two cats, Pancake and Frankie. She has special interests in anesthesia/pain management and animal behavior.
Practice Owner
Evie Fredenburg
Evie Fredenburg began her career at GAH as a receptionist in 2001. She quickly became the office manager and then practice manager and eventually, with her partner Dr. Shencopp, purchased the hospital in 2021. She is proud that Greenfield Animal Hospital is one of the last few independently owned veterinary hospitals in the area as it allows the doctors and staff to provide the level of medicine they believe to be of utmost importance. She loves going to work every day and is so proud of each employee and their dedication to their patients.
Associate Veterinarian
Jennifer Jachman, DVM
Dr. Jennifer Jachman is a 1990 graduate of Michigan State University. She has worked for Greenfield Animal Hospital either full or part time since then. Dr. Jachman has two beautiful children and several pets. Dr. Jachman has a special interest in wild animals and has even done two sabbaticals in Africa working for the preservation of wild African animals.
Associate Veterinarian
Sarah Sewick, DVM
Dr. Sewick started working at Greenfield Animal Hospital in 2019 as a relief veterinarian; the clinic impressed her so much that she stayed on as a full-time associate. Dr. Sewick grew up in metro Detroit, but earned her DVM at the University of Illinois. She returned to Michigan to be close to her family. She is passionate about Fear Free methods, animal behavior, and pain management. Dr. Sewick and her husband Paul jokingly call their house the Sewick Home for Wayward Animals; their family includes 3 dogs, 3 cats and a box turtle, all rescued. In her free time, she enjoys knitting, sewing and spending time in nature.

Associate Veterinarian
Michael P. Hood, DVM
Dr. Hood started his relationship with Greenfield Animal Hospital as a client in 1977, helping to bring in his family pets for their veterinary care. In 1984 he had his first job at Greenfield as a kennel attendant. Cleaning the kennels, feeding and caring for the animals in the hospital is how he got his start. From 1984 to 1986 while completing high school, he continued to work at Greenfield Animal Hospital. With some mentoring by Dr. Byron, he went to Michigan State University, knowing veterinary medicine is what he wanted to do. After 3 years of undergraduate work and four years of veterinary school he returned to Greenfield Animal Hospital to work as a veterinarian. Since starting his career in veterinary medicine in 1993, Dr. Hood has come to realize he could not have chosen a better career for himself.
Dr.Hood has been married to his wife Lynn since 1995, also a MSU graduate. His two kitties, Izzy and Dray are quite the characters! He enjoys watching and playing basketball and golf in his spare time. He is very passionate about all MSU sports. You can reach Dr. Hood via e-mail at drhood@greenfieldanimalhospital.com
